Printmaking on Paper, Original Art "LETTUCE INTAGLIO" The Art of Nature, Fine Art by Mindy Lighthipe

 

This print is an Artist's Proof of an Intaglio Plate. I drew the image of the lettuce onto the copper plate with a sharp stylus and then placed it in a vat of acid to further etch the image deeper into the plate. It was hand inked and pulled through a traditional press, also by hand.
