The Mangrove Swallow ( Tachycineta albilinea) is commonly found by lakes, rivers, lagoons and marshes. It can be seen flying rapidly low over the waterways as it hunts for insects. I got to see this wonderful bird on the Sarapiqui River in Costa Rica. This is an original watercolor combined with colored pencils.
