The Male Green Honeycreeper ( Chlorophanes spiza) is one dazzling bird! He is bright green/turquoise with a black head and a red eye. The female is brilliant green. I painted her as a companion and she SOLD immediately! They are common in the lowland areas of Central America mostly on the Caribbean coast.
