Small Landscape Painting, Palette Knife Painting, Small Oil Painting, Daily Painting, 6x8" Oil

Did you ever have that feeling, that you just want to get away?  Away from the hustle and bustle of life, the job, the town, .......just everything?

This little painting, is my idea of that perfect get away.  It's on a quiet mountain road, snuggled up under the trees, but not so far from civilization that I would not want to be there alone.  In other words.....PERFECT!

Oh, to waken to birds chirping, and leaves falling softly to the ground.

I have not added this piece to my Etsy site yet, so feel free to contact me here, if you are interested in purchasing.

Have a wonderful day!

Autumn Tree, Landscape Original Painting, 6x8 Oil on Canvas Panel by Carmen Beecher

Purchase

Since I live by the beach, I get very excited when I see Fall colors. This tree just seemed to glow. We were in upstate Pennsylvania, staying on a farm. What a different way of life from flip-flop-wearing, easygoing Florida.

Daily Painting, SOLD "Red Berries and Leaves" 8x10" Small Landscape

The image for this painting came from an autumn hike in the Blue Ridge Mountains.  I love being there this time of year when color is everywhere.

SOLD

I was attracted to this image because of the unusual color and also by the abstract qualities of the branches.

Blogger is up to it's old tricks this morning, not behaving at all, and insisting on putting my second image at the top of the post.  I had this problem a few weeks ago, then it magically disappeared, now it is back!  ARGH!!!!!!!

Fall Landscape, Daily Painting, "Fall Colors" by Carol Schiff, 6x8" Oil

We have just returned from several weeks in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.  Everyday I would run to the door as soon as the sun peeked over the mountain to see how the beautiful fall colors had intensified over night. I was not disappointed.

The sun was back lighting a red maple, giving it a beautiful glow.  I tried to duplicate the colors without falling into the "too garish" trap.

It was a lovely trip.  Lots to do with little time available.  I need to take a few deep breaths and all will turn out okay.

Duck Painting, Wildlife Painting, "Just Hanging Out" by Carol Schiff, 6x8" oil

I found this little girl duck at Nantahala Outdoor Center, in the middle of the Blue Ridge Mountains, just hanging out on a rock in the river.

She seemed quite content!  Pretty surprising when you see what was going on 50 yards down the river...

International Kayak competition!  The ducks were not annoyed.........

This setting seems to suit the painting a little more.

Enjoy your day!

Today I am featuring a little oil still life that should fit right into your house this time of the year.

Purchase Here
49 minus 10 rebate

Originally priced at $80.00, this little gem is currently on sale at $49.00  For TODAY ONLY when you purchase, I will send you back at $10.00 rebate!

Growning up in Ohio, pumkins, bittersweet,  hay rides, and apple cider could mean only one thing....fall and Thanksgiving were on the way.  I loved that time of year, and yearn today for sound of fallen leaves crunching under my feet and that special fall smell in the air.  In those days, everyone would rake the leaves into a large pile and all the kids would leap into them.  When the fun was over, it was time to burn the leaves and toast marshmellows.  What a great time we had.

Maybe this painting will bring a little of the magical time into your home this fall.

Don't forget, when you purchase, you must state WILD AND WACKY on the order to receive the $10.00 rebate.  That's because, this offer is only for readers of my blog and it's the only way I will know you saw it here.  Offer expires at midnight EDT 9/25/2013.
