Daily Painting, Oil, Original, Floral, "Sunny Pansy"

This is a re-post from last spring.  I liked the bright yellow flower against the blue background enough to show it to you again.

I must thank the City of Asheville, North Carolina, for filling their park with these cheerful and sunny pansies this spring.

How could I resist this glorious yellow flower?

The weather in Asheville last week, was gorgeous in the mid 70's, and everything was in bloom. Dogwood ruled as it is seen everywhere you look, but these adorable, bright pansies cannot be beat for vibrant color.

Copper Pot with Apple, 10x8 Original Oil Still Life Daily Painting by Carmen Beecher

$99, Click to Purchase
Taking a break from my San Miguel series to post a still life. This one was started in the Qiang Huang workshop in Melbourne. I have been so pleased to get thank-you notes from some of the people attending the class. Learning from Qiang is a very enriching experience, and some people came from a long distance and were glad they did. It's so gratifying when all the effort to put on a workshop is appreciated.

Bursting Forth, Springtime Oil Painting of Yellow Trumpet Tree by Judy Batterson

The yellow tabebuia trees are blooming all over Orlando! These brilliant yellow blossoms are dazzling to the eye as they completely cover the branches. Also known as the yellow trumpet trees, they bloom and as fast as they bloom, the petals fall to the ground like yellow paint circling the trunk. This original 12 x 12" oil will keep the memory of springtime!

Lovely Lemon Tree, Yellow and Green Oil Painting of Lemons by Judy Batterson

Growing up in Florida, I took it for granted that everyone had a lemon tree or citrus of some sort. As kids, it was like having decorated Christmas trees in the yards. The beautiful ripe yellow lemons were tart on the inside though. Just like the old song about the lovely lemon tree. As an adult, I now look at the lemon like life....when life gives you lemons, make lemonade or lemon cupcakes or lemon martinis! Price $300 12"H x 9"W
