I was sitting in the shade in this Paris park when a lady walked by in a colorful outfit. I envisioned the scene as a colorful abstract painting, and here it is.
We spent the morning painting in this little walled town where the market was bustling. The vendors set up their wares in the town square and also along all the little side streets.
This was painted en plein aire in Sarlat, France on one of the very busy market days. The sun was bright and the shade tents were brilliant. I had a wonderful spot to view it all up on a small patio area near a group of galleries.
This was painted on location in Sarlat, France. The geese were bronze statues. It took a while to paint because tour groups kept standing between me and my subject, and kids kept sitting on it for pictures.
