Sea Life Art Painting,Fish, KOI "The Block Party" by Florida Impressionism Artist Annie St Martin
The Block Party is a palette knife done with oils. Koi ponds and Florida seem to be a great fit. The koi are so friendly and always on the search for a little snack or maybe just a visit. They seem to live in a perpetual party state. When I would go outside to feed my koi they knew it was me and always seemed overjoyed to seem me. That's why I named my painting The Block Party. I always loved a Block Party!

Botanical Painting,Flower Art "Snuggling Anthurium" by Florida Impressionism Artist Annie St Martin
This is an oil painting done with a palette knife. I love the way these anthuriums nestle against each other for support and strength. One is reaching for the sunlight while the other is content to rest in the shade. Are you basking in the sun?

Beach Paradise, Oil Painting on Canvas Panel, 9x6 Seascape Daily Painting by Carmen Beecher
I'm
running out of titles for these beach scenes. How many ways can you
describe such a beautiful place? I worked on this while getting windows
installed and pavers put down in the driveway. My easel was really the
only place I could be out of the way, so the drills were drilling and
the saws were sawing, and I pretended I was back on North Captiva Island
listening to the sound of the Laughing Gulls.

Oil Painting, Anna Maria Reverie, 5x7 Seascape Daily Painting
Even
though I just came from North Captiva Island, this painting of Anna
Maria Island was started before my vacation. I finished it today and I'm
looking forward to painting more of N. Captiva next. Both places are
beautiful and the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Mexico are very
different from our surf here on the Atlantic.

ZACK - SOLD
I like to paint animals. One client came to me with three white standard poodles and commissioned portraits of each. As much of an animal lover as I am, I was not sure I could capture the personalities of three individual but identical dogs. My client was very happy and recognized each dog from his portrait. They are some of my favorite animal portraits.

THOMPSON GAZELLE
This is one of my early efforts in oil. Our local zoo was opening an African exhibit. They contacted several local artists and assigned specific animals that were represented in the exhibit to each artist. They then created signs for the exhibition area, featuring the image and relaying information about the species represented. I was happy to donate to the zoo and still get a thrill when I visit and see "my sign".

Oil Painting, Orange Blossom Special, 8x10 Oil on Canvas Panel by Carmen Beecher
I
grew up in Central Florida, where the orange was King. There was
nothing like walking through a grove in bloom, with the lovely sweet
smell of blossoms filling the air. Most adults in my town worked in the
citrus industry, including my grandmother, who would walk the half-block
to the packing house every day during the citrus season. She had the
world's shortest commute. She also had a small orange grove, and in our
yard grew avocados, limes, tangerines, loquats, and cherries. I wish I
had those things now, especially our huge avocados. We didn't even know
what guacamole was back then.
