Sunrise, Neptune Beach, Oil on canvas, 26" x 18"
Here is another painting from my February trip to Jacksonville for a half marathon race. I painted a lot of sunsets and sunrises in 2009 and 2010. Lately I've been moving on to other subjects for a change. Neptune Beach was a fun place to stay. I liked walking by the high dunes and tall grasses. Seeing a sunrise over the water instead of a sunset was inspiring. I live in southwest Florida and I've watched the sun rise over a nearby pasture on a few early mornings.
