I painted this from life early in the morning. The light is pleasing at that time. The umbrellas look beautiful against the blue-green water. The Gulf gradually changes from a blue-purple to a blue-green color as the sun rises. Sharon Guy Art

Umbrellas At Squid Lips Melbourne

I drove north to Melbourne this week to participate in a Plein Air event.

Created this 11x14 one while we were there. Loved the colorful Umbrellas and chairs

BeachParty At Jaycee Beach

There was a beach party with a camp group who had come to play at the beach one day last week.

Along with some beach sitters and their colorful umbrella, I wanted to recreate their enjoyment of being there and bouncing in the waves.
