Towards the Light, Abstract Oil in Blues by Judy Batterson

This loose flow of color is a bit unusual for me, but I wanted to try to express in paint what goes on in my head. If you swim underwater and look up, you swim towards the light. If you are in a storm, you know the sun still shines way above the clouds. We are always seeking the light. The bands of blue represent going from darkness into light. Our souls are drawn towards the light to give us life and hope. Price $500 Original oil on gallery wrapped canvas.

Milan Babes!

Had good fortune of visiting Milan. During my excursion we wandered into the fashion district, all I can (pardon my French) is, OO LA LA! Depicted is my impression of the fashion house windows. Enjoy!

Painting of Venice

I had the fortune of visiting Venice last month. Walking out of the train station upon the Grand Canal was A moment I will never forget, so beautiful and rich in history!

Pink Pipes II

Happy with the way this turned out! Looking forward to more pipe paintings. Can't help but be intrigued by the pipe sculptures that are in our everyday environments. I wonder how the color it is determined that they are painted. I pass by this one everyday and just love it!

Roanoke III

Passed through Roanoke, VA this summer, felt as if I was in the 1940's or earlier. A very nostalgic and beautiful town to visit. Quite a strong palette used for exterior colors of the time!
