Abstract Expressionism Painting "High Energy" by Florida Impressionism Artist Annie St Martin

I've chosen every color in the rainbow for this painting.  It reminds me of being a child and going to the circus.  It is so colorful with it's painted clowns, brightly decorated tents and exciting rides.  Do you feel the energy?

PERSISTENCE PAYS OFF, 6X8, OIL, SOLD

A perfect beach day...kids running around, surfer's waiting for the "great one", birds overhead.  Lots of sunshine and the beautiful Atlantic...what more could we ask for?  I think this gentleman was asking for just a little more, but as far as I could tell, no luck!  There is always tomorrow.

Fisherman Painting, Daily Paintng, Small Oil Painting, 9x12x.75" NFS

This is a very special painting for me.  My grandson, Kevin, is obsessed with fishing.  He probably has 20 or more rod and reels for everything from deep sea fishing to fly fishing.  I surprised him this Christmas with a painting of one of his best ever fishing days.

He was very surprised and will take it to his dorm room in the fall; a perfect reminder of days at home.

This image is available as a print on canvas here.

Thanks for vewing my art today.

BOUGAINVILLEA AND UMBRELLA, 6X8 SOLD

While driving to the post office, I passed this charming garden spot.  The blooming bougainvillea and garden umbrella in contrasting color, caught my eye.

I so enjoy doing these small paintings.  I have little desire to do larger ones these days.  This give me instant gratification and tomorrow, I have the thrill of starting over on a new project.

A few weeks ago, the talented Diana Marshall, from Dublin, Ireland, had a painting give-away.  She offered to do a portrait of choice for the winner, who happened to be ME!

Today I received this great painting of my grandson showing off his prize fish!  Thank you Diana, this will go directly to my grandson Kevin.

Be sure to check out Diana's blog.  Her paintings are great and her  animal portraits are fantastic, especially the cats.

St. John's River, a Florida Plein Air Painting of Fisherman in a River Wilderness by Judy Batterson, Florida Artist

With my easel on a houseboat in the St. John's River, I painted the pristine wilderness around me. One lone fisherman floated by, looking for a catch, as was the osprey that circled overhead. Cypress trees, mangroves, aquatic plants and gators were part of the river scene in Florida's pristine wilderness. 7" H x 5" W Price: $75.00

St. John's River, Small Florida Oil Painting of River, Osprey, Cypress Tree by Judy Batterson, Florida Artist

With my easel set up on a houseboat deck in the middle of the St. John's River, I painted the wilderness around me. One lone fisherman floated by, looking for a catch. And so was the osprey that circled overhead. Cypress trees, mangroves, aquatic plants and gators were part of the river scene in Florida's pristine wilderness. 5x7 original oil, $75.
