Blue Cypress Sunset, sequence of painting, by Judy Batterson

The finished painting! This is the final sequence in a series of six showing a painting from start to finish. The burnt umber and ultramarine blue dark silhouettes of the cypress trees with aquatic grasses and reeds stand out against the bright setting sun. The shadows are reflected in the water along with touches of light. This is a 24 x 36" oil on masonite. And it's been a fun and challenging painting journey! www.judybatterson.com

Island Sunset, Tropical Oil Landscape with Palm Silhouettes by Judy Batterson

When the sun sets, clouds and moisture in the air break up the light into rich colors of the spectrum. Palms are silhouetted against the sky. This painting captured an evening sunset along the Indian River on the east coast of Florida. For more Florida landscapes visit my website at www.judybatterson.com.

"Beach Path", Florida Oil Landscape of Palms, Water, Island

The Intracoastal Waterway is dotted with small islands. Some are dense with palms and foliage while others have areas where
boats can be beached near pathways that can be followed to the center of the island. These islands are great for picnics. This is one of the accessible islands, lending itself to fun in the sun. Painting size is 11 x 13 and is framed in lovely brushed copper.
Price $350 framed. For more Florida oil landscapes, go to www.judybatterson.com.
