SUNRISE REFLECTING ON THE SURF, SOLD 6x8, OIL DAILY PAINTING

I have not done a daily painting seascape for quite some time, so I ventured down to the beach just in time to see the sun come up.  It is beautiful to see the sunrise no matter where you are...but it is down right stunning when you are sitting on the beach.

I hope your day is as inspirational as mine was!

Sunglow, 8x6 Oil Painting on Canvas by Carmen Beecher

Some sunrises are "quieter" than others. This one was very soft, but that's because I just didn't get there in time for the bright reds of early morning. I like the softer side of sunrise too.

"If you want to be reminded of the love of the Lord, just watch the sunrise."

That quotation is from Jeanette Walls, who wrote Glass Castles. Every whiny, demanding child should be made to read Glass Castles, about Ms Walls' childhood, to make them see how good they have it. It's a terrific book and one of those that sticks in my memory. With my memory lately, it takes a really good book to to linger in there for long.

Here Comes the Sun, Sunrise Oil Painting of Florida's Atlantic Coast by Judy Batterson, Florida Artist

The brilliance of an ocean sunrise is exciting and challenging to capture on canvas. When the sun filled the sky with breathtaking colors, the water reflected the light. Even the sand glowed. I saw the entire spectrum of colors before me. Awe inspiring! Featured in the Art for All Spaces "I Believe" show at CityArts Factory 2014 in downtown Orlando. Also featured in the Casselberry Art House 2013. 24 x 18 original oil on canvas, $600.

Here Comes the Sun, Vibrant Sun Rising Over Ocean with Beautiful Colors, by Judy Batterson

Here Comes the Sun...When I saw this sunrise over the ocean, I was awed by the bright palette of colors. The rising sun filled the sky, and the clouds were streaked with warm and cool colors. The ocean reflected the sun and the colors of the sky. Even the wet sand reflected the colors. This was a glorious morning! The light was refracted into every hue! Bright and beautiful! 18 x 24" oil

Island Sunrise, Tropical Oil Landscape with Palm Silhouettes by Judy Batterson

This 4 x 12" oil on canvas captures the moment when the sun rises, the sky fills with color and the dark silhouettes of the trees stand out against the sky. The sky is clear with the layers of color and the water is calm as it reflects the sky. A few early bird pelicans are flying. Although I am not a morning person, it is definitely worth it to see the sunrise once in a while!!

Sunset Palm, a Tropical Oil Landscape by Judy Batterson

This 10x12" oil on masonite is an uncomplicated but effective tropical landscape at sunset. The dark silhouette of the palm in the foreground stands out against the yellow, orange, and red streaked across the sky. A warm palette predominates as the light is broken into a broader spectrum. www.judybatterson.com

Serene Sunset, Florida Oil Landscape of Palm Islands by Judy Batterson

Islands of palms, trees and mangroves cast shadows in water as the sun sets. A Florida coastal sunset, alive with changing colors, can take your breath away. Kayaks and small boats seek the still water between the islands to see wildlife as well as the sunset.

Florida Art From the Beach

Together, Oil on canvas, 20 in. x 16 in. by Sharon Guy

Another scene from a beautiful sunrise on the Atlantic. I spent an early morning watching the sun come up on Neptune Beach. I saw a woman walking her dog and enjoying the scenery. They both looked happy to be there. The light was muted but the colors got more and more intense as the sun started to rise over the water. I painted the simple essence of the scene, which has a mysterious, peaceful quality. My website is at Sharon Guy Art.
