"Swampy Road" Off the beaten paths, sandy roads lead back into hammocks and lagoons. Untouched areas of coastal Florida with palms, pines and mangroves are there. With my easel set up on a houseboat deck in the middle of the St. John's River, I painted the pristine wilderness around me. One lone fisherman floated by, looking for a catch. And so was the osprey that circled overhead. Cypress trees, mangroves, aquatic plants and gators were part of the St. John's river scene in Florida's pristine wilderness. 7" H x 5" W Price: $125.00

This 12 x 24 oil painting is from a houseboat trip along the St. John's River. The yellow sky is from the sunrise. The palms lined up for miles on the water which was filled with gators while birds were everywhere. Quite an adventure! This painting is now on exhibit at Leu Gardens until July 9, 2014.
