A while back a Facebook friend contacted me with an interesting proposition.  Ann Ramsey is a master quilter and wanted to know if I would allow her to create quilt patterns based on some of my paintings.  The results are absolutely amazing.  She has been able to capture the essence of my work and translate it into a fabric work of art.

This original abstract painting on watercolor paper is inspired by a family friend's pond in the Adirondack mountains.  In the fall, when the first warning of winter turned the leaves into a glorious display of color, the pond mirrored the kaleidoscopic panorama.

"Mac's Pond" is heavily textured, revealing subtle undertones that are not visible in this image.
The painting is bordered by 2" of white Fabriano Artistico watercolor paper.   It is ready to be matted and framed or simply "floated" to show the deckle on all four sides.

A signed Certificate of Authenticity is included.

This large canvas is heavily textured and invites the viewer to reach out an touch the surface of the painting.  Acrylic modeling paste as well as rice paper were used to create this very unusual and exciting texture.  The painting measures 30"x30" and is stretched on 1.5" deep bars.  The painting wraps around the sides and does not need to be framed.  It is wired and ready to hang.
