Stormy Landscape Painting | Daily Painting | Small Oil Painting | Coastal Collision II by Carol Schiff | 11x14x1.5 Oil

This stormy landscape painting is a scene I see most every afternoon in the summer, here in Florida.  The warm breezes blow across the state from the west and collide with the cool ocean breezes from the east.  Instant Storm!

I painted this in oil and using a palette knife to capture the feel of impending doom.  You know that feeling.....the black clouds suddenly roll in...the temperature drops 10 or 15 degrees in what seems like seconds and the wind kicks in.  Time to run for cover!

I painted on 11x14x1.5" canvas and painted the sides black making framing an option.
