Original Contemporary Modern Art Abstract Paintings by Filomena de Andrade Booth

Acrylic on textured canvas

Sometimes, after a storm, the ocean gives up its treasures.  Ordinary glass that has been cast aside gets tumbled by sand and surf until it is polished into a precious gem, collected by lucky beach scavengers.

Sea Glass measures 30" x 30".  The surface of the canvas is heavily textured with rice paper, suggesting waves crashing on the shore.  The gallery wrap canvas is stretched on 1.5" deep wood bars.  The sides are finished in a shimmery gray/black  Micaceous Iron Oxide.  The painting is wired and ready to hang; framing is unnecessary.  It is signed on the side, dated and signed on the back.  A clear acrylic varnish has been applied to protect the painting from dust and UV rays.

A Certificate of Authenticity is included.
