Nature Art by Sharon Guy

Terns, Watercolor and Pencil on paper, 6 in. x 4 in.

This morning, I sketched on Siesta Key. It was cool and windy. I sat in a chair next to a large flock of terns and gulls, and sketched and painted them while they rested in the sun and groomed themselves. The large, black-capped terns are Royal Terns. Their noise was deafening. I forgot my binoculars, but I was close enough to see them well. They ignored me the whole time I was there.
